Valerian II, Caesar, 256-258. Antoninianus (Silver, 22 mm, 2.86 g, 12 h), Rome, 256-257. P C L VALERIANVS NOB CAES Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Valerian II to right, seen from behind. Rev. IOBI (sic!) CRESCENTI Young Jupiter seated facing, head to left, raising his right hand in salute, on goat to right. Cohen 28 var. ('Saloninus'). MIR 247k var. RIC 14 var. A very rare legend variety with an interesting alternative spelling. Minor flatness and small scratches on the obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
